THE WORKING PRINCIPLES OF VERTICAL RIBBON BLENDER OR CONE SCREW RIBBON MIXER:-

The VERTICAL RIBBON BLENDER OR CONICAL SCREW RIBBON MIXER consists of the Vertical Cone Shape of the Vessel inside which the Spiral Helix or Ribbon are fabricated accurately on the vertical shaft of mixer. The Vertical Ribbon Shaft rotates inside the designated cone shape vessel at specific rpm requirement according to feed material type and its chemical and physical properties.

The rotating shaft of Vertical Spiral Ribbon Agitator of this mixer lifts the raw material from the bottom of the Vessel and conveys the feed and lift it to the upward direction in cone shape vessel. The shape of vessel plays the primary role during the mixing action which ultimately creates the convective action of mixing of raw materials inside the Cone Shape Mixing Vessel.

In the first instance, the spiral helical ribbon rotates inside the cone shape vessel with lowest clearance with vessel body and give the upward flow motion of feed material by the axial movement along with conveying the material to the upper surface inside the vessel. But due to the effect of gravity material falls downward from the inner spaces between main shaft and ribbon and the counter flow of material begins simultaneously. The material which falls downward gets recalculated instantly and the speed of recirculation of the material increases with the decrease of the diameter of the vessel. So along with these two different opposite as well as simultaneous flow and movement of the material generated by rotating ribbon shaft, the screw mounted on the same shaft also provided the additional agitation. This triple action of the material inside the Vertical Ribbon Mixer also helps to consume less energy and lesser heat generation.
